Who We Are
DwelloFinds (dwellofinds.com) is a home décor inspiration and shopping-guide website. We publish room ideas, styling guides and curated product roundups, and we share them on Pinterest at pinterest.com/dwellofinds. You can reach us any time at hello@dwellofinds.com.
Information We Collect
We keep data collection to a minimum. You can read the site without creating an account, and we do not ask visitors to sign in.
- Information you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write, and we use it only to reply.
- Technical data. Like any website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard request data such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages requested and timestamps. We use this in aggregate to keep the site secure, fast and working, and to understand which pages are useful.
- No sensitive data. We do not knowingly collect payment details, government IDs or precise location, and we never ask you for them.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
Our own pages do not set advertising cookies. Some third-party services we use or link to may set their own cookies or load resources from their servers when you visit, including:
- Pinterest. Product roundup pages load Pinterest's Save-button script (pinit.js), which shows a Save button when you hover over images. Pinterest may collect information about your visit as described in the Pinterest Privacy Policy.
- Google Fonts. We load fonts from Google, which receives your IP address and browser details to deliver the font files.
- Retailers and affiliate partners. When you click a product link, the retailer (for example Amazon) may set cookies to attribute a purchase to us. See the section on affiliate links below.
Affiliate Links
Many product links on DwelloFinds are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. The retailer, not DwelloFinds, collects and handles any information you provide on its site, and its own privacy policy applies from that point. See our Affiliate Disclosure for details.
How We Use Pinterest's API
DwelloFinds uses (or, where Pinterest access is still pending, is designed to use) the Pinterest API for two purposes only: (1) to publish pins to the DwelloFinds Pinterest account that we own and operate, and (2) to read performance analytics for that same account, such as impressions, saves and outbound clicks, so we can see which content helps readers.
- Our own account only. The integration connects only to the DwelloFinds account through Pinterest's OAuth flow. It is not offered to the public, and visitors to this site are never asked to connect a Pinterest account or share Pinterest credentials with us.
- Human-selected pins. Every pin is chosen and reviewed by us before it is published. We do not use the API to follow, message, comment, or take any action on other people's accounts.
- No third-party Pinterest user data. We do not collect, request or store personal information about other Pinterest users.
- Data we handle. This is limited to our own pin content and account-level analytics. We use analytics only to improve our own content, and we do not combine it with data about individuals.
- Credentials. OAuth access tokens are kept as private server-side secrets, are never published in the website or its public code, and are used only to make the API calls described above. We request only the permissions we need.
- No sale or sharing. We do not sell, rent or share Pinterest API data with third parties, and we do not use it to train artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.
- Revoking access. We can disconnect the integration at any time, and access can also be revoked from the Pinterest account settings. When access ends, the stored tokens are deleted.
How We Use Information
We use the information described above to operate and secure the site, respond to your messages, understand which content is helpful, and improve DwelloFinds. We do not sell your personal information.
Data Retention
We keep email correspondence only as long as needed to handle your request. Standard server logs are retained by our hosting provider for a short period under its own policies. Pinterest analytics for our own account are kept only as long as they are useful for improving our content.
Your Choices and Rights
You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or ask us to stop using it by emailing hello@dwellofinds.com. If you live in a US state with a consumer privacy law (such as California), you may have additional rights, including the right to know, delete and correct personal information and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information. You can also limit cookies through your browser settings and manage Pinterest and retailer cookies through their own settings.
Children's Privacy
DwelloFinds is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please email us and we will delete it.
Third-Party Links
Our site links to retailers, affiliate partners and social platforms. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites, and we encourage you to read their policies.
Security
Our site is served over HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page with its revision date. If we make material changes to how we use Pinterest data, we will update this page before the change takes effect.
